We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our new Group Admin administration role, a game-changing feature designed to give your network a new level of flexibility, organization, and control.
What is the Group Admin Role?
The Group Admin role allows network owners to delegate specific administrative responsibilities to designated individuals within your community. Group Admins will have access to a dedicated group management space in Honeycommb’s Control Center, empowering them to independently oversee the activities within their assigned groups.

Key Capabilities of the Group Admin Role
With this new role, Group Admins gain a suite of powerful tools tailored to the specific needs of managing their groups. Here’s what they can do:
- 1. Manage Join Requests and Members
- - Approve or deny group join requests.
- - Remove inactive or disruptive members.
- - View and manage member lists.
- 2. Content Management and Creation
- - Publish new posts to engage the group.
- - Moderate user-generated content to ensure it aligns with your community guidelines.
- - Edit or delete posts as necessary.
- 3. Chat Management
- - Oversee group chats and maintain a positive communication environment.
- - Manage inappropriate or flagged messages to keep conversations productive and respectful.
- 4. Send Custom Mobile Notifications
- - Notify group members directly through mobile push notifications.

How It Works
Honeycommb’s Control Center makes it easy to assign the Group Admin role. You must be the network creator or the “Account & Billing” admin role assigned to your account. To assign an administrator role, the person must have an account/profile in the network. From there, simply:
- 1. Navigate to “Account & Billing” / “Administrators & Roles” in the Control Center.
- 2. Create a new admin by clicking the “New Administrator” button.
- 3. Search for a member by name or username and select them.
- 4. Select “Group Admin” as the role type.
- 5. Search for and select the group you wish to assign to the member.
You can assign as many group admin roles to a member as you like. Remember, Honeycommb does not limit the number of admins you can have.
Once assigned, a “Control Center” link will now appear in the member’s menu. Group admins will only have access to the group management areas for the groups they’ve been assigned to so they can immediately begin managing their groups, freeing up your time to focus on broader network strategies.
